Between Terry and Jodie, the founders of Quick Shear Inc, there’s over 45 years in the sheds. They have travelled the country, shorn in the dustiest corners and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the toughest people you’ll ever meet. Isolation, long hours, no job security, no safety net it’s the unspoken reality for many in the shearing and agricultural industries. And while the work is hard, the silence around mental health is even harder.

Ask any shearer or farmer if they’ve lost someone to suicide and chances are, the answer will be yes. The older hands? They have lost count.
